HEMPEA Oy – Online Store Terms of Service
These terms of service apply to the online store of HEMPEA Oy (Business ID 3650475-3) at hempea.fi and hempea.com.
1. General and Scope
These terms apply to all orders placed with the online store (hempea.fi and hempea.com) operated by HEMPEA Oy (Business ID 3650475-3). By using the HEMPEA website and ordering products from the HEMPEA online store, the customer accepts these terms. HEMPEA has the right to update these terms, and an order is governed by the terms in force at the time it was placed.

3. Customer Relationship
To place an order, the customer must provide the information needed to process it: name, delivery address, email address, and phone number. The customer must be at least 18 years old, or order with a guardian's consent. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided. Products are not sold for resale.
4. Products, Prices, and Availability
HEMPEA sells hemp-fabric home textiles, mainly bedding. Product descriptions, materials, and prices are shown on each product page, and all prices include value added tax (VAT 25.5%). HEMPEA aims to keep availability information up to date but is not liable for unforeseeable stock errors. If an ordered product is not available, the Seller will notify the customer and refund the undelivered item.
HEMPEA reserves the right to change prices and to cancel an order if a product was clearly mispriced, for example due to a pricing or system error.
Colours may vary slightly depending on display settings.
5. Ordering and Formation of Contract
Orders are placed through the store's checkout process. The customer receives an order confirmation by email, and the contract is formed once HEMPEA has confirmed the order by email. HEMPEA reserves the right to decline to confirm an order or to cancel it if it contains an error or the product is not available.
6. Prices and Payment Methods
Payment is made at the time of ordering. Available payment methods: Shopify Payments, PayPal, and Paytrail.
Shopify Payments
Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners, whose own terms apply to the payment method used. The range of payment methods available through Shopify Payments varies depending on the customer's country.
Shopify Payments methods: Shop Pay, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bancontact, iDEAL / Wero, Klarna, MobilePay.
Paytrail
HEMPEA offers Finnish online banking payment methods through Paytrail Oyj (Business ID 2122839-7). The payment agreement is always between the customer and the payment service provider.
PayPal
When paying with PayPal, the payment agreement is between the customer and PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. (R.C.S. Luxembourg B 118 349).
7. Delivery
Delivery methods: Posti, Matkahuolto, PostNord, DSV, and pickup from HEMPEA's premises.
Estimated delivery times: Finland 3–5 business days, other countries 2–4 weeks.
Delivery fees:
- Finland: €5.90, free for orders over €300
- Other countries: €9.90, free for orders over €600
Delivery area: Finland, EU countries (excluding Åland), Norway, and Switzerland.

8. Cancellation and Right of Return
Customers have a 90-day right of return for unused products in their original packaging. Orders are also subject to the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.
To return a product, contact customer service (marjamaija@hempea.fi). The customer pays the return shipping costs. Once the returned product has been received and inspected, the amount paid is refunded to the payment method used when placing the order.

9. Defects and Complaints
We always aim for high quality. If you nevertheless notice a defect in a product you have purchased, please contact customer service (marjamaija@hempea.fi, +358414536443) as soon as possible. HEMPEA bears the costs of sending defective products back and of sending any replacement product.
HEMPEA products are subject to the statutory liability for defects under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.
10. Data Protection
The processing of personal data is described in Shopify's privacy policy.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes will primarily be resolved through negotiation between the parties. Consumers may seek free guidance from the Finnish Consumer Advisory Service (www.kkv.fi/kuluttaja-asiat/kuluttajaneuvonta) or refer the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi). If the matter is brought to court, it will be decided in the Finnish district courts.
Customers also have the right to seek out-of-court resolution of a dispute concerning an online purchase through the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform maintained by the European Commission.
