Shipping and Return Terms

Shipping Policy

Delivery area

We deliver to Finland, EU countries (excluding Åland), Norway, and Switzerland.

Delivery methods

Posti, Matkahuolto, PostNord, DSV, home delivery, and pickup from HEMPEA's premises (Kirkkokuja 14, 99800 Ivalo, Finland). Available delivery methods are shown at checkout based on your address.

Estimated delivery times

Finland: 3-5 business days

Europe: 2-3 weeks

Made-to-order products: 2-4 weeks

Delivery time starts from order confirmation. Estimates are indicative, and carrier schedules may vary, especially during holidays and campaigns. We will let you know if your delivery is delayed beyond the expected time.

Made-to-order products

Made-to-order products are marked in the product description.

Sizes other than standard Finnish bed linen sizes, for example orders shipped abroad, are made to order. Their delivery time is 2-4 weeks. If an order contains both in-stock and made-to-order items, we will deliver all items in the same shipment.

Delivery fees

Finland: €5.90, free for orders over €300

Finland, home delivery: €9.90

Other countries: €9.90, free for orders over €600

Prices include VAT (25.5%).

Pickup

Please arrange pickup in advance with customer service (marjamaija@hempea.fi, +358 41 453 6443). No delivery fee applies to pickup orders. Choose pickup only if you are able to collect your order in Ivalo.

Uncollected parcels

If a parcel is not collected within the pickup period, it is returned to us. An uncollected parcel is not a customer return: the original delivery fees and the parcel's return shipping costs are borne by the customer and deducted from the refund. We can resend the order if the customer contacts us within one week of the return and pays the new delivery costs.

Customs and taxes (Norway and Switzerland)

Norway and Switzerland are not part of the EU customs union. Deliveries to these countries may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or handling fees, which are payable by the customer.

Receiving your order

Please inspect your parcel on delivery. If it is visibly damaged, notify the carrier immediately and contact us as soon as possible at marjamaija@hempea.fi.

Returns

1. Statutory right of withdrawal (14 days)

Consumers have the right to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods. To withdraw, notify us before the period expires at marjamaija@hempea.fi. You may use the form below or make a free-form notice.

2. HEMPEA's 90-day return right

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, we offer a 90-day return right for unused products. The period is counted from the day you receive the product. The product must be unused, unwashed, and in its original packaging.

3. How to return

1. Contact customer service (marjamaija@hempea.fi) and provide your order number.
2. Pack the products carefully, preferably in the original packaging.
3. Send the parcel following the instructions you receive.

4. Return costs

The customer pays the return shipping costs. Original delivery fees are not refunded if the whole order is cancelled. Uncollected parcels are not customer returns under this policy; the Shipping Policy section "Uncollected parcels" applies to them.

5. Refunds

Once the returned product has been received and inspected, the amount paid is refunded to the payment method used for the order. The refund is made no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice, but we may withhold the refund until the product has been returned to us. If the value of the product has decreased because it was handled beyond what is necessary to establish its quality and functioning, we may deduct the loss in value from the refund.

6. Defective products

If the product you received is defective, please contact us as soon as possible. We will replace or repair defective products free of charge. Statutory liability for defects under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act also applies.
